FROM THE PRESIDENT

Welcome to Temple Beth Israel-Shaare Zedek!

On behalf of Temple Beth Israel-Shaare Zedek, Lima, OH, I would like to welcome you to our updated website. We are small in number but strong in our commitment to the Jewish community as well as out-reach to the non-Jewish community. We welcome those of you who are simply curious about Judaism as well as those of you who are looking for a spiritual home.

Rabbi Javier Cattapan conducts Shabbat services twice a month on Friday evenings with Adult Learning on Saturday mornings besides High Holiday Services. Oneg Shabbats are held after services. Connie Hornung conducts lay-led Sabbath Service once a month. Both Temple and Sisterhood hold events and fund-raisers welcoming all. We have a very small number of young people, so we no longer have a traditional Sunday school class. On the positive side, this means that each student preparing for b'nei mitzvah gets more individual attention.

Please join us. I think you will find our atmosphere to be warm and inviting. If you have any questions, call 419-223-9616.

Anne Handley, President
